In 2006, the Sanam Vaziri Quraishi Foundation committed to fully funding a community development project, in partnership with Free The Children, in Kenya's Masai Mara region. The project's holistic approach to development provides health care education and services, sanitation, safe water, primary education for children, and an alternative income program for the community's women.

Students of the World, as part of their commitment to document the progress of other CGI commitments, traveled to Salabwek, Kenya in both 2007 and 2009. They produced this short film about SVQF's commitment; the film was screened at the 2009 Annual Meeting.
