CGI ANNUAL MEETING 2010

Dreams become reality and words transform into deeds at the Clinton Global Initiative's Annual Meeting. The event features inspiring speakers, spirited discussions, and plentiful networking opportunities. Members learn about innovative approaches taken by organizations around the world. They analyze strategies that work, and strategies that don't. Then they use that knowledge to create programs that change lives.

The 2010 Annual Meeting will take place September 21-23 in New York City. To inquire about membership, please email membership@clintonglobalinitiative.org.

Plenary and breakout sessions
Plenary sessions are high-level panel discussions that frame the issues that will be talked about during the day's events. Breakout sessions are smaller, more interactive discussions that allow members to delve into specific topics.

Action Networks
Action Networks are intimate, issue-focused events that allow members to break into small groups and discuss strategies for action. Space is limited to allow all members to participate in robust discussions. Preference may be given to members who have been involved in affinity groups throughout the year.

Topic Dinners
These issue-focused dinners give members an opportunity to engage in informal discussions about challenges and opportunities for action in specific areas of interest.

Clinton Global Citizen Awards
President Clinton honors change-makers from around the world in this special ceremony. The 2009 event was hosted by Ben Stiller, and featured stunning performances by Alicia Keys and Juanes. Learn more about the 2009 Clinton Global Citizen Awards.

CGI Connect
Our online member networking system allows members to identify and contact other attendees with similar goals. CGI Connect, which is available year-round, provides a member directory, up-to-date event information, and convenient registration and meeting tools.

CGI Exchange
CGI Exchange is an exhibition forum at the Annual Meeting, which allows members to showcase their projects and accomplishments, learn about commitments, and network with other members.

Private meeting space
Reserved spaces are available between sessions to allow members to meet in a private environment.

Media support
Professional media specialists are available at the Annual Meeting to help members craft a robust media strategy; set up interviews with leading newspapers, radio stations, and television programs; and develop compelling messages and press releases. Nearly 1,000 members of the media are on-site at the Annual Meeting each year to report on the accomplishments of CGI members.

Commitment featuring opportunities
Select commitment announcements and progress reports are granted a world stage at sessions during the Annual Meeting. Watch commitment announcements made at our 2009 Annual Meeting.
